Any sites allowing play from India?

I realize that this is the wrong forum but I don't know very many posters on any forum besides this one so I am hoping to get a reply here.

I am vacationing in India and tried to log on to Partypoker this morning but was denied access. I assume that it might have something to do with the laws of the country rather than PartyPoker's own regulations. If so, I am probably SOL in trying to play on any site. But on the off-chance that any of you guys know of a site that will allow play from India, I sure would appreciate it if you would let me know.

Thanks

SKP,

99% no. I have never seen a player with an Indian city logged in and that is probably enough evidence.

There is one huge bright side to all of this. The games on the internet are going to be good for many more years because players from most Asian countries aren't allowed to play right now.

I've seen a few people with Indian cities listed.
Also, a year ago, I lived in Hyderabad, India for about 8 months and accessed just about any type of site that you might think would be restricted (although I didn't play online poker then, so never tried that).

I was able to log on to Pokerstars from India. The play money games worked. I don't know if the real money games will work (nothing in my account...heh) but I think that it probably will work. So, the "India Out" motto must be unique to Partypoker.

Only a 2+2er would be thinking about playing poker while vacationing in India.

Do they have Indian poker there?

Hope you're having a wonderful time. Did you bring your little one with you?

Regards,
Andy

Indians traditionally hate gambling due to religious reasons. How many Asians do you see in casinos vs Indians? The only Indians you see in casinos are the kind that get to own the casinos .
