button button button

a quick preflop question.

Assume a mid stakes party game with a 1/2 blind structure. 3 horrible players and one tag (from EP) limp to you on the button what is the lowest Axo, Kyo, Qzo, and Jwo that you limp? How about the suited variety? How do the blinds affect your decision?

I'm with Will, but I don't go quite as low on the Axo and I go one lower on the Jwo.

AT, K9, Q9, J9, any axs, any kxs, Q8s, J7s

if a blind is more likely to raise i cut out the lowest unless hes also bad

(tbh this is mostly based on 15-30 blind structure though)

I hate an A7 offsuit limp here. A8 too. I think A9 is breakeven.

Wow, I guess I am the tightest player alive?!

AJo, KQo, no Qxo or Jxo

All Axs, all Kxs, all Qxs, J8s+

Only reason the blinds would change my mind is if I knew one was extremely likely to raise. Then I'd drop some of the Qxs and J8s. Otherwise, since it's multiway, who cares what the blinds play like?

We're only talking about hands we limp behind with?

ATo, KJ/KTo, QJ/QTo, JTo
A9s-A2s, K9s, QTs/Q9s, JTs-J8s.

Anything better than that range I raise with. If the blinds are tight, I extend my raising range further. If my table image is rock solid, I raise with almost every non-suited limping hand & about half the suited cards. If the SB is loose & the BB is passive/normal preflop aggression, I'll limp with a few more suited hands (especially KXs).

It depends on the limpers, but I kind of think there are plenty of As that play reasonably well on the button behind a bunch of limpers. The fact that you're in good position mean it's very easy to avoid tough domination situations.

And, by the way, your new avatar girl is really gorgeous.

Re: button button button

4 limpers (who play badly) and I'm raising most Axs hands, most broadway suited and sometimes stong suited connectors (98s+). I'm raising all pocket pairs too.

Having the TAG in EP just makes the scenario better.
