That Tony guy must be a break even player at best.

He's limiting himself to such a small range preflop, nobody with a brain would go up against him heads up.

Button opens for $35, ok, smooth call to disguise or min raise to keep him in. Don't make it 4X more to scare all players out.

I have played with Tony several times at Commerce. He claims to be a poker professional. He can lie to himself all he wants, just like 95% of the rest of the people who claim to be professionals. This guy was limping in with kings and aces in late position and would bitch when a Jack Deuce in the big blind cracked his hand. He is not even a break even player. He is a loser. I do not know one player who beats this game on a regular basis who is not aggresive preflop and postflop.

Gus' move was not bad IF you expect one, at least of the 2 players behind to bet and you CR. Sometimes it doesn't work and you miss a couple of bets. A calculated move. You also have to consider if anyone would call with the flush draw out there. I have learned to bet it, but then, I'm special.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (12/6) (300/500 NL 5/5 blinds)

Last week, George Hav and I were at a table and this friggin moron did not want ANY talking at the table if more than 2 people were in the hand. He blew a gasket when I said I have an ace, when an ace fell on the board and said I couldn't do that! Since it was for a side pot it was a) stupid and b) not changing the all in's equity or the Bike's rake, so no harm, no foul. Still, stupid play by Gus, he could have been a contender.

tony dodged a bullet there.

the guy turned 4 more outs with a gut shot SD and was only a 2:1 dog on the river.

tony would've flipped his lid...

LOL - guy short buys for $40, that's like someone busting in the whale game and buying back in for like $600

I think you guys missed a pretty revealing comment by Gus (?). When he had that black KK, against 82s (?), after the river he said:

"Do you have an ace?"

82: "No, an 8"

KK: "Oh, I just have a little flush."

Nice slow roll dick back.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (12/6) (300/500 NL 5/5 blinds)

he should've said:

"Just a little nut flush"

12-07-2005 12:48 AM

Seat 5

Is he primarily a cash or tournament player?
