QJs 25NL

I'm new around here and to NL cash games in general. After I played this hand, I felt like my line was a little fishy. Thanks for any advice.

Re: QJs 25NL

Raise to $1.25 PF at least. Flop is ok, but I suspect it is unnecessarily elaborate at these levels, turn is ok, river raise more.

Thanks xorbie.

Do you mean that my default play should be to just fold the flop at this level?

Re: QJs 25NL

raise it to $1.50 .. that's what my new standard raise for $25's is it seems to be working out nicely with continuation bets.

Re: QJs 25NL

Its worth keeping in mind that a lot of $25NL players don't think raise preflop, they think call. So when someone reraises you preflop (unless you have a reason to suspect he's tilting/maniac etc) it should set off warning bells.

Re: QJs 25NL

you could have raised more on the river...he's got AA or KK...and I doubt he's giving you credit for having the runner runner flush.

Re: QJs 25NL

it looks like you backed up into a flush. you wanted to see if you could take it away on the turn, so why didn't you try it? re-raise his turn bet to 12 or more so you can get all your money in if you hit the flush.
