Which book helped you the most
Hi,
I have been playing HE for a while but I would like to start playing omaha/8. Any suggestions for the best beginner books. Thanks |
Re: Which book helped you the most
i'm in the exact same boat actually. also my BR is somewhat smaller now so O8 fits well.

Re: Which book helped you the most
I found Winning Omaha/8 Poker by Tenner & Krieger most helpful for a newbie. Another invaluable source www.o8poker.com. The site is informative and lists several links. Also check out the FAQ on this forum. Good luck.

There arent many. I think posting your hands on this forum will show the biggest profit.

Re: Which book helped you the most
A couple of good books to get started (at least for me)...
Championship Omaha by TJ Cloutier/McEvoy (ob8 and omaha) Winning Omaha/8 Poker by Lou Krieger I have yet to find a truly great book for O8, nothing like Harringtons HE books were for NL tournies. Best bet is probably to read one/both of these books and check out this forum. Oh yeah... forget everything about HE when playing O8B |
Re: Which book helped you the most
Only thing I've read is Baldwin's chapter in SS2.
I knew nothing about poker outside of HE before that, but just that chapter should be enough to beat .5/1, 1/2 on party. |
