Casino-on-Net - don't even bother depositing with Neteller unless you like 50x Wagering Requirements. If you have to deposit by Neteller, do yourself a favor, take the $200 put it on black, if you double up start playing BJ at $10 hits, if you lose, withdraw.

[/ QUOTE ]

I did this about 10 days ago, and I completely missed the Neteller restriction. However, I wagered $2k and cashed out with no problem. Must have been an oversight.

50xB is a very reasonable WR.

[/ QUOTE ]

It depends.

If you prefer to wager with only bonus money, flat betting the minimum, its not.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you are bankroll builing, then I agree it probably isn't best.

But it still caries a VERY high EV if it's playable with Blackjack. I can burn through a 50xB offer very quickly. Hell, I do Bodog's 60xB all the time.

just wait until you drop $500 in 10 minutes.. that'll be fun.

Jesus Christ, grow some balls. I once lost $13K in about 30 minutes, and I didn't give a crap. My EV was about $460 and that's all that matters.

No, EV isn't all that matters. Expected utility is what matters. A situation where you could lose $13k will have a much different EU from one person to the next.

Just because you have a big enough bankroll to stomach a $13k loss doesn't mean you have more balls than someone who is hurt by much less.

Bankroll != balls.

Does this imply that if you lose the bonus money first, you can still cashout your deposit?

That seems unlikely based on what I have seen at the other casinos. If its true, then I may have to give it a shot.

How is this possible? Shouldn't you run out of bonuses to whore?

whats Expected Utility?

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, utility is what something is worth to you, or how useful it is to you.

For example, $100 is worth 10 times as much as $10 in actual value and in utility for most of us here. But what about $100 and $1000? $10000 and $100000? $10 million and $100 million?

For that reason, you can have +EV situations that are not +EU, since the larger amount of money isn't worth as much to you as it seems.

Here is an example of a +EV situation that many people wouldn't take (and shouldn't):

You can choose either of the following exactly once:
a) $1 million dollars
b) a 50% chance at $10 million dollars.

Obviously, the EV of b) is much higher than a), but the expected utility of that option will be lower than that of a) for many people.

edit: It is interesting to see what is the highest amount people would gamble for in the above example. People won't always choose the 'right' amount, of course, but it is interesting to see where they draw the line.

Well said. Like how people on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" opt to forego the final question even though the EV can be much higher than stopping.
