why me?(badbeat)

Ok, if I raise more preflop I prolly win the blinds. I could have reraised the flop but based on the turn action this guy woulda called anything. I suppose I might have put him on two pair and folded, but I made the right read and got F'd anyway. Guess this falls under the heading of "that's poker/you'll win his money in the long run". Cry now-laugh later.

you played this hand poorly. but since you set it up as a bad beat post, no advice for you!

Nice, I recommend you follow BB around and try to play with him as much as possible before he drains his account.

yea you got rivered, but you need to raise the flop to protect what is probably the best hand against flush/straight draws potentially out there; and/or to find out where you're at. If you get reraised on the flop, you can consider laying your hand down on the suspicion of a set or 2 pair.

Your turn raise play wasn't too bad of a recovery, waiting for a safe card to push is alright in this situation but you are giving a cheap card on a dangerously coordinated board. You got him to make a bad play, it's too bad you got rivered but against a 5 outer you will win 90% of the time.

You can opt to (a) raise the flop or (b) wait for a safe turn card.

Since you opted for (b), your correct play is to raise all-in with the current stack situation. You may not get a fold, but the mini-raise won't inspire anyone to fold.

That's just beautiful. KJ is gold to the average small stakes player.
