I dont understand... you fold TPTK because the guy trapped in the middle raised a minraise to narrow the field? You feel he might have a set? You think he would limp with 99 or JJ?

I like him for a club draw, maybe Aj/KJ or just a big bluff.

Re: Standard Fold RIght?

At first i too thought that this was a very standard fold, but then it's pretty reasonably to think that they are flush draws, i just feel J9 is a very reasonable hand. And since i have the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] a club draw that he is raising with might be some type of OESFD or a gutshot straight flush draw. Maybe I'm just afraid of playing poker.

So if i decide to continue playing this hand...you must raise, right? Because i'm beating draws. SO do you push it t0 $25 or $30 and fold to a push. If he calls and a blank comes on the turn and he bets, what do you do?

people limp with pocket 2s and 9s all the time. Odd questions.

The real question with this hand, to me, is do you want to play a large pot with a pair of jacks top kicker with little chance to improve?

The only thing here I am really fearing is a set. Even then, unless its a set of Jacks, you have outs. A reraise will almost guarentee that the third guy folds and will chase any bluffs or longshot draws. I think $30 would to well. Anything else is still giving near 2-1 odds which isnt bad on the flop for a 4 flush or oesd.

This whole paragraph illustrates why you should fold. Risk/reward ration is unacceptable.

I'd limp with 2s... probably not 9s. But meh.

As for whether I would play with a pair of jacks and top kicker, I dont have any solid reason not to. "most flops miss most people"

A fold seems fine here if you don't want to play TPTK with barely any redraws to a hand that is beating you.
