I don\'t bet/fold a river

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (4.40 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3.20 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (5.20 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.20 BB

BB is unknown, seems normalish after about 13 hands though. Who likes?

I dunno, you're getting 8:1 when it comes back, but does he really do this without the goods?

To bluff this river he would a.) Need to put you on a busted flush draw that's firing the 3rd barrel and b.)be pretty certain that you are a good enough player to fold in a reasonably large pot.

Alternatively, he could be a retarded donkalicious moran. I guess if you expect to play him a lot more the information is worth it, but I think you're beat here pretty darn often by an unknown. (At least 88% of the time? Who knows.)

so you are betting that he is capable of being on some sort of draw and check-bluffing the overcard river? if the pot was bigger then i would like i dont know about this situation though, especially with NO read at all

Tons of draws on this flop, I think he'd try and push me off.

The pots not big enough? 8BB isn't big enough?!

It's not a bluff 12% of the time.

You can't be serious. Tons of 5/10 players take shots like this every day. Folding this is a big mistake IMO.

Having never played 5/10 I will take defer to you that it happens "every day" - whatever that means - but I'd wager a lot that it's not a "big mistake".

It means every time I sit down for a session, I get at least 5 or so check-raise bluffs.
