Can movies live up to TV? (article)

link

interesting article on roger ebert's webpage (written by his editor, i think) about how in a lot of ways TV has supplanted film.

for you lost fans: "I don't think any movie (or series of movies) is doing it as well (or with as much visual flair and intelligence and beauty) as ABC's "Lost." To watch "Lost" on a big-screen HDTV (and now, the whole first season on DVD) is to have a rich, cinematic experience that has all but vanished from actual movie theaters."

any article that leads with a mention of Krzysztof Kieslowski's "The Dekalog" is a good article, in my opinion.
