AK math problem. Call 28 w/ nothing to win 100?

Well, should I call this or not? Let's assume no reads on the player.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

CO ($76.80)
Button ($402.75)
SB ($511.95)
BB ($64)
Hero ($473.70)
UTG+1 ($284.45)
MP1 ($493.40)
MP2 ($476.55)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Hero raises to $16, 6 folds, BB calls $12.

Flop: ($34) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $20, BB raises to $48 (all-in), Hero calls $28.

I'm not calling. If he has nothing, he wins, if he has board or PP you're drawing to the backdoor flush or a six outter.

i might not even bother with a continuation bet against someone that short...there's nothing that you can bet that won't either pot commit you or induce a bluff raise.

if i make a continuation bet, i might just make it for what he has left.

yeah I agree, the cbet should have been $34 so if villain is pushing all-in its for less than double and its autocalling.

I feel you guys are wrong on this point.

To someone with $48 left, a $20 bet is a whole hell of a lot scarier than a $48 bet. It looks like I'm trying to get them all in bit by bit.

I call because I hate short stacks, see his flush draw miss and mock him until he rebuys.

And I agree you should pot the flop, makes it easier to play

I'm not going to pot the flop if it's wrong to do so, just because it makes it "easier to play". If I wanted it easy to play, I'd just set him all in.

I'd call, but I give shorties too much action. But seriously, I see K high here alot too, but also top pair etc ofcourse, but atleast you have some outs.

it's not "wrong to do so". It's standart on that kind of flop and it shows the short stack he doesn't have pot odds, implied odds or fold equity (in case he's drawing)

to you it might. it's doubtful they're thinking of it that way.

assuming 6 outs, you should call the push after your continuation bet. you have about 30% equity against 66 or the like.

i don't really like being committed to calling with no hand/weak draw...
