not a hand where you won 1000 bb's or anything but a hand where you played in a way that showed you that you've progressed past where you were a month or a year ago. i had this idea a while back but forgot about it, anyways i thought it was a good idea so just keep it in mind while you're playing and post some hands.

MP2 certainly did help you out during this hand.

On the river, I would have been worried that one of the cold-callers behind me had a nine (and I'd have been worried someone had an eight on the turn). But your river raise did gain 4.25 BBs for you, and you do have a lot of potential outs on the turn if you're not currently ahead (though possibly not as many as it appears).

Except for 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and maybe 99, I'm not sure what your river raise represents, but it does put your remaining opponents in the uncomfortable spot of possibly having to invest 4 BBs just to salvage their 1/4 or 1/3 of 17 BBs.

The Villian is a TAG. After sitting at the table with him for about 10 rounds, i had noticed that a C/R on the flop more often than not is mid pair, he has never it done with a good hand before the turn. I have a tight table image, and the button is a weak tighty.

There's a pretty good chance that UTG called the turn with a draw.

If he has a busted draw and folds it more than one out of four times (approximately), it's a good river bluff.

On hand 1 I really thought that my hand wasn't the best all the way to the river, but when mp1 checks again the maniac bluffs at it like he always would. I knew mp1 even if he had a piece would fold for 2 bets so I raised. Maniac showed his ace high and I won. It was really the maniac who allowed me to win this pot.

For hand 2, I have no idea what the other guy was thinking. I think he is one of those guys who calls on the end to show you how good of a draw he had on the turn. I thought he wold fold the turn occasionally, and if he had a naked ace hit his pair he would raise me on the river letting me 3 bet, and if no ace fell I thought I could pick it up on the river since I knew he had nothing. Well... I was only half right.
