$25 PLO hand
 

I'm just starting to learn this game. Pretty typical table. Nothing really out of the ordinary. Fairly tight. Sorry, I couldn't get the converter to work.

I'm dealt AJTT double suited (clubs and spades) in late position. Villian has me covered. I have $26.

It's limped around, 5 people to the flop. I'm last to act.

Flop is 4 8 T rainbow

Checked by 3 people. Villian leads for $0.75. I pot it to $3.55. 3 folds and Villian calls.

Turn is a Qh (two hearts on board)

Villian pots it. $8.05.

Your action?

I think a preflop raise would have allowed this hand to play itself. As played, I think I have to fold. Is this hand worth a raise?

You could raise it preflop, you've got position and a strong hand. I also think I'd call the turn.

The hand is certainly strong enough for a raise IMO.

I don't think the turn is an insta-fold either. Unless the Villian has K-J-9-x with 2 hearts (and not the K as one of those hearts), you have ~33 equity.

Thus, you are correctly priced in for a call on the turn and can check/fold if you don't hit a 4, 8, 10, Q or non-heart K.

Calling the turn may also allow you to a cheap showdown if your opponent decides to check the river.

If you think villain has a lower set only then raise. If you think, as is probable, that he just made a straight, then fold (because your hand is obvious and you likely won't get paid if you fill) unless you are also going to represent a heart flush if it gets there and villain checks.
