Casinos in Orlando, FL, New Orleans, LA, San Fransisco, CA and Vegas?

Hi there,
I am a UK fella coming over for a few weeks with family. I would like to play in some casinos, no higher than $4/$8. Could people recommend any in the following cities. I include the dates with them; if anyone would like to meet up to go with me i'd be much obliged.

Regards,
Pete Harris

1) Orlando, FL - i'm staying in the Universal Studios area - anything nearby? (July 15-17)

2) New Orleans, LA - (July 19)

3) San Fransisco, CA - I'm here a while, finding a casino would be great! (July 21-25)

4) Vegas - Staying in the Sahara (26-27 July). where's good for 2/4, 3/6 and 4/8??

Thanks in advance for your tips!

You forgot to mention that all the $2/4 - $4/8 tables in Vegas are tough as nails and should be avoided like the plague, only real pros can beat them.

I apologise profusely, but unsurprisingly i thought asking a group of people on a B&M page would elicit better information and support than google. If i was incorrect, i can only apologise.

In New Orleans, Harrah's is your obvious option. The rake is pretty high and I think it's 3-6, but I'm not sure what the next highest limit is.

Pete,

While in San Francisco, you might try Lucky Chances which is south of the city or Bay 101 in the South Bay. Also there's a dive in a canker sore of town called Pacheco called California Grand that spreads some very fishy games.

I have not played at Casino San Pablo or at the Oaks, but I'd only go to either of those locals in an armored tank..,

BTW, you'll either love or hate the blind structure in the rooms in the Bay Area where the button posts a BB. Makes for a loose and somewhat profitable game sometimes.

thanks for the tipoff! That sounds interesting, i bet more than 2/3rds of the table will be unable to adjust to that structure.

Thanks again,

I have played poker in Florida but not the Orlando area. I think your best bet is to go out on a boat, there is at least one that leaves from Port Canaveral right near where Nasa Launches the Space Shuttle.

Land based casinos poker bets are limited to $2 maximum but they run tourneys that have higher limits. I played at the Hard Rock Seminole at Tampa but that is a bit of a drive.

The only place I have played poker is Vegas is the Excalibur and that has been almost three years ago. They teach a holdem class then open a 1-3 spread limit game but it doesn't qualify for any bonuses. I think you are much better off playing the 2-6 spread limit. If you get aces cracked or make a high hand (quads or better) you get to spin a big wheel at the back of the room.

no need to apologize...i'm a dick sometimes but i'm a sucker for posting that link.

oh, and my office window faces bay101 in San Jose. If you like limit, go there. If you like NL, go to Lucky Chances. Will you have a car?
