A bad overcall?

The bettor is unknown. The first caller is loose passive and would be calling down with any pair.

All comments welcome, especially river.

I expect to lose on the river but I think the call is standard

Re: A bad overcall?

I would usually play it the same way, althought one of the players may turn over AJ or something quites often. The Q makes your chances of a split pot more likely... If the button raises the turn he almost definately has the 3... otherwise if he is super passive he could easily have Ace high or pocket twos...

I'm not sure about the play, would like to hear other peoples' thoughts.

yes, I get real scared when people call two bets cold on flops like this even if they are loose passive. I haven't done the math but I might fold the turn, but it depends on MP range. You need to fold the river, but it is easier said than done.

i don't see how this holds up. when i expect to lose, i fold. overcalling is rarely standard.
i mean, what could these guys have?

Sorry, meant to comment on the hand too. I probably fold the turn, I definately fold the river with 2 still in.

Re: A bad overcall?

fold the turn, you are splitting at best and likely behind to at least one, if not both, of your opponents. Actually folding the flop might be better.

I expect to lose but the pot is big enough that I may win this 1 out of 8 times or so

I think people who say fold the turn are freaking nuts. you are chopping at WORST, not at best.
