I got broke..

I already played well out of my bankroll, about 800 playing 2/4 NL. After playing four 100+9 WSOP qualifiers on UB I was down half of my money. Instead of being smart I went ahead and stayed at 2/4 took a horrendous beat and now I have 2.50 or so in my account.
I plan on depositing more money soon, but I think I am going to switch to Limit instead of NL for awhile since my Online play has become too overly aggressive as a function of my live play becoming more aggressive. In the past limit has helped me calm this down and blah blah.

Anyway, after that long introduction, I was curious if anyone can offer some snippets of advice for the switch.

Don't play outside your roll. Seriously. Just don't do it.

I have been down this road countless times.
The key is to not play outside your roll and unless extremely comfortable with the NL games I would stick to a Limit game you would be adequately rolled for.
Also, 2.50 goes along way if you know what your doing with it. For instance, I have turned 69c on Stars into a few hundred in just over a week and my friend is over a grand starting with a dollar flat i sent him. Just play within your limits and how this site describes you to play and you should be fine!

Good bankroll management is part of being a good poker player.

I know a few players personally that are incredible poker players, but have horrible tilt issues, play outside their bankroll etc. etc. Holds them back immensly.

Isn't that like saying 'I know people that are really good drivers but they don't know how to slow down, they can go really fast and shift really well but they always end up crashing'?

Perhaps I should have used the word "complete."

I'm not sure that it's worth arguing over sematics though, since I think we can agree that good bankroll management is very important to being a winner. We might disagree about what constitutes a "good" player, b/c maybe we have different criterea. (Personally I think a good player is a long term winner, regardless of natural talent, knowledge of the game, etc. And yes, I realize this excludes a lot of people with mad crazy skills at the table. They would take my money most of the time, then shoot it in their arm.)

Yep. You can't be a good poker player without good money management.

I mean yeah, it's just semantics - I was just trying to be a little facetious.
