Checked to hero, hero bets pot, one limper calls.

Turn: 2

Hero bets 80% of pot, villian raises all-in, hero folds.

I have note on villian saying he's passive.

I think he had set, anyone disagree.

stack sizes?

a set, lower 2 pair or a terribly played overpair are all possible (limp -> back AA/KK with entire stack is sadly somewhat common on party).

BTW - did the turn complete the rainbow or add a flush draw? If it added a flush draw then I'd be more likely to put him on a set. Would make sense for a passive player to play like this with a set until an "obvious" draw shows up.

i usually pay off top2 there with villain's range being much wide than 55

Tough laydown, very opponent-dependent. Against a normally passive Villain it's probably a fold, though. But I think it's close.

I always pay him off with top two ... and they always have a set .... maybe I should stop.

a lot of party players make weird allin moves on the turn. this sure looks like a weird line for a set.

strange way to play a set. i think i call here and expect him to show me jacks and fidgetness.

if the 2 was a flush draw now youre not assuming OES+FD because hes passive correct?

The number of limpers also effected my decision, much more likely one could have a PP.

I just can't see a situation where opponent would do it with a hand I beat, given his track record. Only other possibility is the same hand as me.
