90% sure I\'m getting semibluffed

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 5 handed)

Hero ($704.10)
UTG ($671.65)
MP ($1426.42)
Button ($1190.65)
SB ($549.35)

Villain is 25/15 pretty aggro post flop. Possibly 2+2er, I used to see him playing in 2k game, possible he got kicked back down. Seems like he is doing well 4+ tabling the 600 games right now.

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $3.
2 folds, Button raises to $20, 1 fold, Hero calls $14.

Flop: ($43) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($43) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $35, Button raises to $100, Hero? Push here, 300? Call, and call most river bets? Fold?

i'm not so sure.

The check behind on the flop followed by the turn raise is almost always the nuts or damn close. 999 is my guess.

(disclaimer) I play 25, 50 and 100NL...never played the 600.

If you don't know what to do here, I think you should reraise preflop. Do you see why?

Trying to get tricky eh?

Call turn, lead river fold to a raise.

I tend to call preflop when opponents are over aggro, and I have been pretty tight. If I reraise preflop here in this situation I might as well turn my cards over for him.

There was a post on this a while back from a guy on the high limit section that decided to come down and give us a few things to follow.

He said that the for a flat call to be correct here (pre flop) you have to be certain the other player will fold to a re-raise. Even if this guy is overagressive that alone is not enough to justify a flat call. I tend to agree with this.

But without reraising, you have no idea where you stand with your kings. They were almost certainly the best hand preflop but now there are 4 other cards out there and you set yourself up to either fold the best hand or pay off the best hand. If I flat call a button open with a big hand like aces or kings, I do it because I know how the other guy plays postflop and I should be able to figure out with a reasonable degree of certainty if I'm ahead. If I don't think I can do this, I reraise and postflop is a billion times easier. The title of your post implies you've got a pretty good read so go ahead and pop him back. Any hand that semibluffs the turn is behind your kings but you'll have a tough decision on the end if you flat call as you will not know if the river helped him or not.

80%+ of the time I would reraise KK preflop from the BB.

Why are you considering calling and giving him a free card to his semibluff draw? EDIT:Just read TWP's advice... yeah it makes sense to bet on a safe river and fold to a push.

300 sounds good. Now he must put in $200 to see a pot of $478. If he's on a semibluff it will give him less than the 4 to 1 odds for his flush so he may be tempted to call and make a mistake ...

I hate pushing here. If he's on a draw he will get a way cheaply and if he's ahead he will easily call.

Call and weak lead the river. Call a push.

Am I inviting a bluff? I'd rather check call river If I called the turn.
