Potowatomi Casino - NLHE buy-in rule change + 3/6 now spread

Had a nice session last night. Wanted to pass on a new buy-in rule change for NLHE.

Formerly:
3/5 blinds
200 min/200 max. You were able to rebuy 200 if you dropped to 199 (effectively a 399 max game)

New and Improved:
3/5 blinds
200 min/600 max. No longer allowed to rebuy past max. So we cannot buy-in for 600, drop to 599, and rebuy for 600 more up to 1199.

Methinks this is better. The majority of the people still buy in for 200. Game is still laggy. Good times.

On top of that, they now spread 3/6 LHE in addition to 2/4, 5/10, and 10/20.

FWIW, profitable again last night. Not that you cared.

No expansion? Still in that tiny, DRAB, room?

What happened to the "expansion", now the compact mess with the state has been settled? They still in that tiny room?

Same room. Long wait, especially in the winter.

It just passed on November 18th (22 days ago), these things take time.

They will likely stall on their expansion anyway until it's apparent if the Menomonee are going to get their casino in Kenosha, since that will choke off a lot of Potty's customers. They are currently in a legal effort to try to stop it.

According to their web site, the expansion of the casino will take place as they build over what is currently the handicapped lot. I wouldn't expect them to move the poker room until the expansion is built. They have talked in the past about moving the poker room into their mezzannene convention space, but I doubt that will happen.

As for the 3/6 game, I think that's a pretty silly idea, which all but guarantees that they will never have 10/20 games again.

Not really, from the looks of it, it is just taking away from the 2/4 games. So rather than have 4-5 2/4 tables as theyve had at times, they might have 2-3 2/4 tables, and 2 3/6 tables.

The couple times I went there it made it even more impossible to get on 2/4 and 3/6 was rather long as well.

Still not sure how worth it 3/6 is.

You get people who cant want for 2/4 which is nice, but the absolute fools probally will be willing to wait for 2/4, and some of the 5/10 crowd (who only play 5/10 because they dont know how to beat the looseness of 2/4), now have some middle ground in case they really couldnt afford 5/10.

It will be nice if they get a bigger room but it might not matter if Kenosha gets all the players eventually.

This is in GB right? Whenever i came down it was always a 2-5 100 buyin(toke $1 200 buyin)
Is this game only running on weekends or has it taken the place of the other nl game? Would be sick to play $600 buyin game...actually worth the drive down where i usually escape near death.

It's in Milwaukee, you might be thinking of Onieda.

If the Big Blind is $5 buying in for $600 makes it a much better game than only being allowed to buyin for $100 or $200.

The only reason they have to make the max buy-in so low is so suckers who think they are better off only risking $100/$200 will want to play. (but by the time you sit down you will be up against people with thousands in their stacks that have been there for hours, you better practice your fancy "all-in" move...)
