the 9.5 gram faux clay chips - got my order in two days

got a thousand of these today - 500 white/100 red/100 blue and some other colors I like to use for tourneys. Unfortunately, my current Tues Night/Wed. Morning game is ending (or rather, I'm never going back there) - so I have to find somewhere else to use them....LOL

The review on pokerchipreviews.com is dead on - they have a chalky feel and FEEL just like clay chips - I took a stack of 8 and put them up to my clay collection of $5 chips I get from casinos and they sound the same when being riffled/shuffled - no insert/clank -

no edge spots, but no annoying metal clink, and for me, at 0.08 cents each over the Paulson $1.35 chips, I would definately use these if you want to supplement your existing sets with some other chips that feel just like clay.

Only thing is, they are slightly larger widthwise then standard clay, but they're the same thickness - so they stack the same heights -

Is there such a thing as a "chip fetish?" - Is there a cure? - LOL - I just love the way they feel playing with them in my hands....I'm sure it's unhealthy

these are really awesome chips. If they made these with edgespots, the budget home chip market would be game over.

Mine are to show up on Friday. (I ordered a new Paulson home sample with them, so they delayed shipment.)

Whiskeytown, would you be interested in a low-stakes mixed game?

probably - I'm all done with that one goddamn game I played for the last time last night -

My KK got ran down by AK on the river, and I was GLAD cause then I could leave - broken [censored] cause a guy fell over and broke an ashtray and my shot glass...(no loss there) - just a giant clusterbomb -

but I work Wed-Fri and every Third Sat. - so it's gotta fit into that time frame if you can get folks to go for it.

Another 2+2er and I have been talking about getting one started, but haven't really gotten to putting the idea about yet. We're really in the early stages. I'll probably talk to him and a couple of local non-2+2 people today and then make a post here.

Do these chips have a recessed center that makes them a good candidate for stickering? Kinda hard to tell from the pics.

How in the heck are these being sold for $0.08 when other places are selling 9.5g chips for .50-$1.00 or more?? Are they really as good as the others?

There is a very slight indentation. Not sure how stickers would do. I've been tempted to try though.
