She's big in the hipster circles, I guess. I'm a hipster and I can't stand most folk nowadays. Newsom, Banhart, etc. I think they all sound terrible, but they're all hailed as amazing artists, so I may be missing something, but I'd hate to try again.

They're pretty much the only two of the freak-folk circle that I like. If you've only heard Banhart's "Oh Me Oh My...", then I could understand hating it. I'd suggest listening to "Rejoicing in the Hands" or "Cripple Crow", though. They're more accessible and I think it'd be pretty hard not to love the latter.
