Donk of the Day - Post your candidates

One of these guys a day helps keep the downswings away...Gave away 62BB's in 36 hands. This guy was the best, hes my buddy and is my candidate for Donk of the Day.

Not bad. You've probably got my candidate beat. He dropped 63.5BB at 3/6 in 94 hands. I particularly liked him though cause 27.5 of those BBs went to me. He wasn't the LAG type, but very predictable. He would routinely make bets of size X which had an EV of -X, and check his stronger hands.

This hand was one of the first I played with him, before I knew he was the fishiest fish I could imagine. I thought for sure I was going to split when the turn came on this next one, and I'd be in really bad shape if I was up against Acxc, but I couldn't bring myself to back off with the nuts.

i still dont see why you want to cold call with ten high out of position agaisnt a tricky agresive player. How is this an easy call?

Re: Donk of the Day - Post your candidates

It's not an easy call, but it is a correct call.

Re: Donk of the Day - Post your candidates

That's what I was thinking too. Easy call in terms of odds, and I wouldn't think twice about it if 1 of us was going all-in, but I don't see how it's even possible to play this hand well enough post flop to not lose money. Maybe I just suck though.

Re: Donk of the Day - Post your candidates

tricky? I thought the read was chip spewing lunatic. against that kind of player, it's fairly easy to play profitably - his tendency to autobet/raise will help nullify our positional disadvantage, and the rest is just whether we should call getting X:1 with our two cards.

I'm not sure how low to go against this kind of player though.

It's pretty easy. CR top or middle pair, call down futher agression. Call down 3rd pair. Easy profit.

The flop is easy. Are you counting the T and 9 as outs?

Re: Donk of the Day - Post your candidates

IMO, It's a bad call pf out of the SB... especially at the 5/10 structure. You are getting unfavorable odds out of the SB with T9o out of position, while giving the BB 5-1 odds on his call.
