\"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (12/5) (1k Heads-up Team Poker)
 

Tonight's show will be another edition of a unique heads-up series of matches between two "teams". This time, each team will play heads-up for a maximum of 32 hands, with escalating blinds. There should be either 4 or 5 players on each "team" and the player on each team that wins their match in the fewest hands will be in the final. The final match's chips will be determined by how many matches each team wins. Sound confusing? Yeah, me too. If you want to figure it out, head to www.liveatthebike.com from 6-9pm PT and try to follow along.

I did OK, the logic games section was a little different than my practice and the writing sample question caught me by surprise.

I know I broke 150 but I think I might cancel the score and retake it in Feb so I can break 160/165 with no problem.

I'm still thinking on what I should do, I'm 50/50 right now.

No worries. I just wasn't sure if strategy content was going to pop up around it b/c if so then it could be in mid-high NL but if not then it belongs in televised events, etc.

I'm moving it to mid-high NL.

I grew up surfing Trestles. About four years ago, I gave up the short board and now longboard. I enjoy San Onofre & Dana Point areas. It funny, but I have never surfered or even been to Malibu beach.

I have surfered the North Shore of Oahu, all over Mexico, and a few places on the East Coast.

I'm grew up in Glendora and still live there. We just always went south because the breaks are so much better.

Right...so if I get a 150-155 on this one and a 170 on the 2nd one I'm stuck in the low 160 range.

If I can hit 170 on one attempt, I can apply to all top tier schools. I have one under my belt, the experience was worth the $115 registration fee, much more experience then what those classes can give you.

If they give you the opportunity, why not take it??? Then if I get a 155-160 this time, I know I'm destined at that level.

This test means a shitload to me since my undergrad GPA is an unimpressive 3.0 straight.

I can not recall but I think you have about a week to cancel so it does not record that you took the test. How many days do you actually have to cancel?

Hey guys, how's it hangin? Speaking of surfing, I used to from about 15 until I was 23. Malibu, Dume, County Line, Sunset, and the South Bay when we had the time. Sort of wish I still did. If I ever get back in shape, I will!

Have you ever surfed at Salt Creek? A good south swell and this place goes off. Freight train lefts and hollow enough to drive a car in.
