Going to Vail...anyone know of discounted lift tickets?

I'm taking my first trip to Vail the first week in February with some friends. I'm hoping to find discounted lift tickets somewhere.

I've seen ebay might be an option...does anyone know of other resources on the internet for discounted lift tickets and or rentals?

thanks....ZIPPPY

When I lived in Denver some years back, the best place for discount lift tickets was in the Denver area. The closer you get to the ski areas, the worse the discounts.

At that time, you could buy tickets at the big Denver ski shops (such as Garts), at major supermarkets (Safeway, King Sooper), and at some big chain gas stations. These tickets are generally good any day except major holidays, but are not refundable.

Many ski shops and motels/hotels around the ski areas sell discounted tickets, but the deals are not as good as in the city. Give Garts a call and ask.

try here linky. I've found good deals for other areas on that site. Another option I've used in the past is to buy the enertainment book linky for the nearest city. They sometimes have a 2 for 1 lift ticket deal worth more than the price of the book.

Typically you can buy discounted lift tickets at grocery stores in Denver. Are you going through DIA?

As for rentals try www.breezeski.com or www.christysports.com

I don't rent so I can't comment about either place tho..

Make sure you check out Blue Sky Basin behind the back bowls if the snow is good. Unbelievable skiing back there.
