No More Food! (No Content)

Commerce 20/40 Live, 5-handed.

Terrible player hits the felt and leaves the game. As soon as he's about thirty feet away (the dealer is still gathering the cards from the previous hand), all four of us say -- roughly simultaneoulsy -- "Seat Open" as we gather our chips to leave. A good laugh ensues.

Subtle.

Congratulations, you openly mocked and possibly embarrassed the type of player that makes the game worth playing. Next time maybe you should spit on him and call him names, too.

Once, in my earlier days of playing, when I knew nothing of 2+2, or poker in general, I was playing ATC at 10/20, and on a huge rush. I was in fact up 3k. I left the table I was at, and then came back 10 minutes later. Another player then quickly returned, and they all started laughing about how he came back because I did.

I folded the next twenty hands, raised aces, won the pot, and then left the casino and decided to learn how to play.

Good work you nit.

I think you missed the point. This was clearly coincidental, not intentional.

WHOA.

All of you (save The Armchair) missed the point.

He was out of range/out of earshot/out of sight. He didn't see or hear us. And yes, it was totally coincidental that we all left the table at the same time.

Relax, you nit-haters, we didn't make a fool of the fish.

I don't know the rest of you, but I'm surprised that Scrub misunderstood. Maybe my original post wasn't clear? Maybe the fish was fifty feet away?

Uhhh . . . the fish had left the table already?

Nah, they're just being obtuse. The story makes no sense read any other way (why would you announce that there was a seat open and then immediately leave?).

I'm totally amazed at all the misunderstanding here. I think this is a funny story of all the sharks recognizing at the same time that the fish was gone. Hell, I stand up and leave when the table fish busts -- what's wrong with that? It's not making fun of anyone, especially when he's out of earshot.

Good story, BoxTree.

George is having an off day.
