They teach you that you will be playing against very very varied styles. In larger entry tournaments (imo), they play will follow a more stricter pattern.

I was going to say that.

Not being able to maximize made hands can be as much a leak as playing poor ones.

Biggest thing is how to identify the style of a player quickly and play them accordingly.
