5/10 6 max to 15/30 full adjustments

So I'm jumping into 15/30 after taking a poker hiatus for the summer. I'm taking a shot w/ 100BB. After playing for a few days the most obvious differences between this game and the 5/10 6 max is the much more frequent isolation 3 betting and the much more frequent cold calling. My reluctance to 3 bet liberally or cold call much has me playing a lot fewer hands than I understand is normal.

I'm interested in typical 3 betting standards from EP, MP, and LP raisers.

Blind play, usually my weakest area, is also troubling me. I'm seeing the SB 3 betting LP raisers a lot more than I ever have at lower limits. What are some common standards for this play.

Finally, what hands should I be calling a raise heads up in the BB with? I assume it's different for EP, MP, LP, and SB raisers. Seems like the good players on this forum have a much wider range of BB calling hands than I'm using.

I think your reluctance to cold call or 3 bet is because of your 100 BB bankroll.

As for your other questions, they can be answered with two words: it depends. It depends on how loose and aggressive your opponents are, where they raised from, who you have left to act behind you, etc. I'm not a big fan of rigid standards like "i only 3 bet from the SB with AQs or better" and such and it seems like that's the type of advice you are looking for.

all in all, taking a shot at 15/30 with 100BB is a horrible idea. In fact, $3000 for 5/10 6 max especially the way the games have been playing these days (super aggressive massive swings) is probably not sufficient either.

The OP never said 100BB was his entire bankroll. Taking a shot is fine as long as he doesn't play scared money. Playing 1 game with 25BB is okay if you want to just test the waters and can afford to lose it.

I have tons of money, I'm just using $3K to take a shot. And my reluctance to 3 bet and cold call comes from playing in a game where that was much less common, as I already said. Is taking a shot with 100BB a bad idea because I will almost certainly lose it whether I'm winning or not? I would appreciate more info about the game as I just started playing it. And believe me, $3000 for the 5/10 was more than adequate. I would be interested in seeing a winning player lose 300BB in this game.

Yeah, thata's what I meant. I've had luck taking shots in the past.

taking a 100 BB shot is fine. If u lose it, move down for a while then give it another go. THis is how I moved up every limit.

I might not have been playing my absolute best but I was definitely playing winning poker the whole time.

Here a graph of a very good 6-maxer over 100K hands. I believe it's quite close to the norm.
