Re: Unexpected outcome

Just curious, why are you raising 7 3s UTG+1 in full ring?

Mix it up... Know it's not by the book and I muck the hand 99 of 100 times in this position.

Why don't I believe that?

Don't "mix it up" with total trash hands. If you want to vary it a little bit, open with 55 or 76s from EP--that way you can at least have some sort of showdown value, instead of running a pure bluff beginning-to-end.

You don't have to... But that wasn't the point with my post.

Re: Unexpected outcome

I almost put something along these lines in the "One Good Idea" thread. Playing some different cards sometimes is important, but at least they should have a tiny chance of eventually being the best cards. Or, do it from the Button or CO. Total crap UTG or UTG+1 doesn't do any good.

Re: Unexpected outcome

Yes, I know that... Usually I play higher stakes and never ever play a hand like this then.

It's dangerous to play at tables lower than normal for this reason. It's so "cheap" to just take a card of or make a stupid play etc.
