Shoes to wear with dark jeans

Thanks for everyone's help in the other thread. i was able to find some nice jeans at the nordstrom rack near where i live earlier today..now the problem i have is finding good shoes to match them for bars, clubs, etc. i currently have 2 pairs of skechers, one brown with stripes and the other a black bowling shoe type. i also have 1 pair of clarks brown boots and a pair of black monk-strap shoes. but i feel like i need a pair of classier black shoes to go with these jeans..any suggestions? or will a monk-strap shoe work out? thanks

Avoid Skechers. If you're going to bars you can just get some cool tennis shoes like some Nike Dunks.

I stick with Skechers, mostly because walking through Wisconsin slush and snow in tennis shoes is a bad idea. I should probably get a new pair of tennis shoes for spring/fall months where it's cool enough out to wear jeans but not a total mess out there.
