Party Cruise November 5 Semifinals (limit)
So, what are the chances this tournament will actually go off successfully?
Anyway, 452 entrants, 1st through 8th get PPM V cruise packages, 9th, 10th, and 11th get cash. Best of luck to the other entrants, assuming I win a spot. Otherwise go screw yourselves. |
Re: Party Cruise November 5 Semifinals (limit)
I registered for the tourney but only get 1K in starting chips. The 3K is not available to me because of the $75 refund, or so customer service says. I'm now in the process of unregistering and on the phone with customer service. Players beware...

Now they are telling me I can't get a refund and I can't get the extra chips. this is looking pretty laaaame....and to think I though Party Poker was being generous with the $75 after the fiasco on Thursday...they are now hitting me over the head with it!

Re: Party Cruise November 5 Semifinals (limit)
that makes no sense whatsoever.
if you had 3k in chips for the Thursday one then you should have 3k in chips for this one. I was registered for all 4 of these in advance so my situation is different. Obviously the one that was cancelled now carries all the way up to January for me I guess. I played the NL one last night and finished about 90th out of 680 (top 12 won the cruise). Played decently I felt (haven't felt that way about many of my tourneys lately). So far in this one...had AA busted by 88 so that hurt my stack a little. Next hand (or maybe 2 hands later) KK holds up against some guy bluff-raising with AK on an undercard board. So I'm at 3100 now. Average stack today is 2575. Yesterday it was something like only 2350 I think. Yesterday I was on a table with 3 or 4 guys with 1300-1500 chips to start with (and one guy asking why some players had more chips than others). That's something I think can be a big advantage in these. Some of the newcomers have no idea that you can accumulate extra chips and start with very small stacks. but obviously they count as a full-entry towards the prize-pool. I think the extra starting-chips thing is pretty retarded. But it works out better for me since I know about it...so I guess I'm not complaining. |
Re: Party Cruise November 5 Semifinals (limit)
I'm in like Flynn. I agree, the extra chips suck. People who don't know get screwed out of $250. Not fair at all. On the other hand, it is nice to play a Deep stack tourney. The fish are paying off nicely. Up to 5K.

Re: Party Cruise November 5 Semifinals (limit)
Who's still in? I'm severely shortstacked with ~90 players left.

Re: Party Cruise November 5 Semifinals (limit)
Out 78th. Good luck to those still left.
