New Year\'s Eve in Vegas
Has anyone done this? If so, good time or not? I was able to track down a cheap roundtrip flight ($80 total) and was thinking about getting a hotel room Friday night, late check-out Saturday, leave bags at the front desk and be out all night until the flight the next night. Good idea, bad idea?

I doubt there are any rooms left. New Year's Eve is the busiest day of the year in Las Vegas.

I did it a couple years ago. If you can't find a room on the strip, just find a smaller place near the strip. You're not gonna sleep much anyway. I stayed at an Econolodge with 7 people and we just walked to the strip on NYE. It was fun.

Just go, don't bring a bag.

Pretty crowded. Pools are closed. Plenty of fish. Good times.

A flight for $80? From where?
I need an airline to laugh at. -d |

I've done it and it's been fun, but I live here.
