New Year\'s Eve in Vegas

Has anyone done this? If so, good time or not? I was able to track down a cheap roundtrip flight ($80 total) and was thinking about getting a hotel room Friday night, late check-out Saturday, leave bags at the front desk and be out all night until the flight the next night. Good idea, bad idea?

I doubt there are any rooms left. New Year's Eve is the busiest day of the year in Las Vegas.

I did it a couple years ago. If you can't find a room on the strip, just find a smaller place near the strip. You're not gonna sleep much anyway. I stayed at an Econolodge with 7 people and we just walked to the strip on NYE. It was fun.

Just go, don't bring a bag.

No hotel NYE, just the night of the 30th. Check out NYE afternoon and no hotel for the rest of the trip.

Pretty crowded. Pools are closed. Plenty of fish. Good times.

A flight for $80? From where?
I need an airline to laugh at.

Are you [censored] kidding me? What a completely unnecesary poker reference.

I've done it and it's been fun, but I live here.
