Hero....

I need help on the flop too. Does anybody fold this flop. Anybody raise the flop? Is the turn a clear fold? Stacks are deep so I didn't want a big pot.

Re: AA Hand

What I would have done (not that that means anything in terms of correctness) is pop the flop to $200 even. If he pushes I fold. If he calls, I push a nice turn card, for example: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Is villain familiar with you? Would you play AK this way or can he put you solidly on an overpair?

How aggressive is villain? If he is fairly straightforward or not too aggressive, I probably fold the flop because your turn check is inviting a bet.

As played, I fold to that turn bet.

If you absolutely can't let go on the flop and must raise, re-raising to 200 and folding to a push is OK, but villain calling and you pushing a blank (against this opponent) is not good.

Villian is not familiar with me at all. This was my first night at party at this level, I usually play 2/4NL at bodog

Re: AA Hand

People do this with AJ type hands. I wouldn't be surprised if this were KJs or some other pair/flush/straight combo. What do you think he would call the flop with but not push? I think he has to push a set, which is the only hand I'm worried about beating me on the flop. If he calls and the turn is a blank, there is no way I'm folding.

I think I push to the turn bet as played. That bet looks too big to me.

That's why I asked how aggressive villain was post flop. There are tight opps who play passive or very straightforward where I will rarely if ever see AJ or KJ here.

I see tight passives do this with sets all the time, they prefer to call and trap.

But there are plenty of TAG's who really love to press when they're in a hand, if that was the case, I would do the turn push as well.

Ojo, I dont' know why I didn't lead the turn. Would most people lead this turn and lay it down to a big raise???
