Four days and counting till Vegas!! Need some tips from you vets.

Guys:

Scheduled to leave Thursday morning for Vegas. Staying at NYNY both Thursday & Friday nights. Interested in what you guys think are the best low-limit poker rooms/tournaments I should check out?

Also, I've seen plenty of sites that rank buffets ... but you never know who is paying who for the rankings. Wondering which buffets you guys think are the best for $15-25 range?

Sorry if this isn't the right place for this -- but would love to get feedback from all of you.

Have a great Holiday everyone!

Paris Buffet - get there at 5:00 and pay the lunch price. They switch over to dinner at 5:30, you'll get the best of both worlds. The French pastry is incredible.

The Bellagio is good, but personally I think it's overpriced and overrated. In terms of low-limit rooms, I'd check out the Mirage, the MGM, and the Aladdin, and the Imperial Palace is fun for camp value. Basically, a 3-6 game is a 3-6 game; it depends on what you're looking for. Do you want the worst players? The fastest drink service? The nicest tables/chips/cocktail waittresses? Check out allvegaspoker.com for some room reviews...

I like the bellagio buffett for lunch. It is almost the same as the dinner menu. If you are with any vegatarians, the Bellagio is by far the only acceptable one.

In terms of low-limit, there really isnt much difference in terms of style of play. Personally I've heard (i havent played live less than 15/30 in vegas in aa couple years) Bellagio is the softest because lots of player want to say they played there.

In terms of low-limit NLHE, palms is the best game and it isnt close.

Re: low-limit play, you're in a good spot, as you can just walk across the pedestrian walkways to Excalibur (spread limit $1-3 and $2-6 as well as NL $1/2 with many inexperienced players) or the MGM Grand, which has excellent $2/4, $3/6, $4/8 and above limit games and NL.

I'm going in a week and I'm getting confused by everyone's "dogma"

Some say "excalibur and it's not close"

othere say MGM " " and now people say the palms.

Are there any significant differences between these rooms or are these just endorsements based on a posters' having had success there and assuming it's the best room in the world?

Seems like the majority of posters, including myself, think the Excalibur and MGM are the best rooms for low limit games.
