Does anyone multi-table with a 1280x1024 screen or 19 \" LCD?

How bad is the overlap at party tables, if it is bearable I may just go for one over the 2001... a little overlap won't kill me.

No problem. I sit in the corner seats to get the best view of my nearest neighbors.

I do it. It doesn't really bother me. My reasons for not getting a 21" are explained in the thread posted earlier about the dell sale for canadians today. (over $500 difference between the two)

PArty windows with 1280x1024 don't overlap terribly. The bottom table windows do not cover up the action buttons on the table above and you can see the board on all 4 tables.

Of course, if you can hold out for a deal on the 21s I think that you'd be happier.

YMMV

*Edit: Oh yes, you can grab seats in the corners and move the tables around so you can see yourself and immediate neighbors.

I've been 4-tabling party and empire a lot lately when clearing bonuses, and the overlap is slowly driving me mad.

Worst thing is not being able to follow the action well without constantly clicking on the tables to pop them up. Also annoying if the seats that happen to open up don't happen to be in 4 different corners, then your own cards will be covered up sometimes.

I would simulate the overlap by running at 1280x1024 with 4 tables before buying anything. Apparently it doesn't bother a lot of people, but it certainly bothers me.

I have a 19" LCD and I play 4 tables everyday on it. It's not that bad, as was mentioned before, if you sit in the corners of the tables. I can see the value in being able to see the WHOLE table at all times though. However, my next purchase is going to be one of those Dell 2001fp's

Actually, it is annoying for ring games because it's often hard to get the corner seats without opening a lot of tables. For SNG's, it's not a problem.

Now that I have a laptop with 1900x1200 and a 2nd monitor at 1600x1200 I'm MUCH MUCH happier getting to play without overlap.

IMO, playing with overlap is obviously do-able.
But you won't really know how much you are missing out on until you play without overlap.

And most recently, the overlap I had on my former laptop was only 1400x1050...but I still think it made a difference.

I've done it. It's no problem at all.
