Call with any two?

Step 2 PP tourney
Top 2 get step 3, 3rd gets step 2 and 4th gets step 1

Five handed
Blinds: 300/150

Hero is in the BB with exactly 500 after posting.

Fold to biggish stack sb who raises(frequently) to t800. The other three are stacks are well heeled enough to wait me out.

It's 500 to win 1100 and I have 93 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

?

Re: Call with any two?

something is wrong with your math here.

there is 225 in the pot.
sb raises you all-in for 500 more, adding 575 to the pot, making it now 800. you would be calling 500 to win 800, which is not something I would be doing with 93s at this point.

am i missing something?

Re: Call with any two?

His stack: 800 - 300 of BB=500
Sb stack: effectivly only 800, SB pushes

He has to call 500 to win SB's 800+300 of BB=1100.

And yea, I think he has to call

right... duh.
I just looked at the blinds and thought the BB was 150 cuz it said 300/150 (rather than 150/300)

my bad.
and for the record, I call this as well.

Yes you have to call...Yes you'll probably need to get lucky...But to be honest, you're going to need some luck to win the SNG from here.

Results...

Thanks guys. I did in fact call and much to my surprise found myself ahead of 86o.
He caught a 6 though and I was done.
I was comfortable with the call, but three of remaining four initiated a discussion about how this was a terrible call. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some extreme bubble consideration or something.

Thanks-

That's not surprising.
