These are "Bud Jones" chips. They are plastic chips with a metal insert. Canterbury uses the same chips. I hated them at first, but have grown to really like them. They are relatively durable, they don't get grimy, sound nice, shuffle well, and stack beautifully. No, they are not clay, but they are pretty good chips to play with.

Thanks for the quick reply.
1) would you recommend them?
2) how do they compare to clay?
3) how do they compare to the ones everybody has (diamond, dice edged 11.5g clay chips)

Also, where would i be able to buy them? They're really slick looking, espically when i see them on tv + pictures. Makes me want them more .

Someone remade the same design using Chipco chips, here's the link: Link

Chipcos are much different then Bud Jones chips in terms of feel though and it isn't the same exact design.

Edit: Here's a thread discussing a group buy of the same chipco chips for .76/chip: Link

I would assume the same protections that are in clay chips, such as blacklight markers.
