party question

ok having a discussion at lunch with some co-workers. does anyone know approximately how much rake is generated on party in an hour? basically, what are they pulling in an hour?

Re: party question

No way...I'd say it'd be closer to $20,000 a minute, although that might be a bit high. Probably $750,000 or so an hour...

Re: party question

all we need to know to figure out an extremely rough ballpark is avg # of players per hour, avg amount of rake generated per hand, and average number of hands per hour. problem is I don't know any of these things.

Re: party question

I thought it was around 500K per day. Which would make it 500000/24.

Re: party question

I think party released their earnings for last year. So, you can do the math from there.

Re: party question

my somewhat random simplistic guess was 300k/hour. figure 75k ppl on the site, 10 handed games that's 7500 tables an hour. maybe tables average 40 hands/hour?

that's 300k hands/hour across the site. what's the average rake per hand? this I have no idea of, maybe it's $1?

from an article (which no longer exists at the link that was provided):
"
PartyGaming said its revenues were $222 million in the first quarter this
year, up 93 percent from a year earlier. Operating profit jumped 81
percent from a year earlier to $128 million.

Make sure you're not counting play money hands

Unless you want to count Play Money revenue (or does party not rake play money tables? )
