Poll: Your bb/100 at .5/1 PP NL Full Ring

Thought it might be fun to see everyones bb/100 stats Also interested to see if anyone is 10+ (heard of this, never seen it over a large amount of hands)

You should've put a "just show me the results" in there. Your poll is going to get skewed by people who haven't played a lot of/any hands at that level

btw, you won't get many replies from people who have actually played 30k hands at NL$100 full ring. I doubt I will ever play 30K hands on a single level at least. (I'll move up faster than that, and when I come to the level where I start losing, I'll probably quit, 'cause that's just how big my ego is . Can't ever move down.)

Yah the results aren't exactly what I was expecting, unless making 10+ bb/100 is the norm lol

Do any of the people who voted 10 bb/100 care to comment on their style of play? LAG/TAG/SLAG, etc. What areas of your game did you need to improve to reach 10bb/100?

My $0.02 on win rates at this level. I have about 100k+ hands at this level. I consider myself a very good, but definitely not great player. I generally know the correct decision in most cases, but have a bad tendency not to follow through in all cases.

I think if I played my "A" game on 2-tables 10-12 PTBBs is feasible. I think each table added will push a player's win rate down by 1 ptbb per table. As such when I 8-table I win at about 6 ptbbs per. Again I'm not claiming these #'s are empirical - they're just my guess at what an above average player can expect/shoot for as a benchmark.

I just have installed and played 15k hands with PT and is wondering abit about this bb/100. If you play at NL .5/1, i have heard that bb/100 should be around 10+, if you are a ok player. But if u play lets say.. NL 10/20, shouldnt the bb/100 be like 200++ then? since you earn 20x more if you win just as frequently as at the .5/1 table. Right? So i find it strange that it is so "great" to have 10 in bb/100 at .50/1 , since i have 12 bb/100 at .10/.25, after playing 15k hands. Shouldnt it be more like 30 at .50/1? Cant be that hard to get a 100 dollars pot within 100 hands.

Big blind / 100 is scaled with the stakes, regardless of the actual money changing hands. Thus it is used to describe the relationship between the player's win rate and the rest of the table, regardless of the stakes.

Poker tracker somewhat complicates the situation by using "big bets" (grandfathered in from limit poker) as the default value for BB/100 (confusing since big blind / 100 is the general marker for no-limit poker).

Generally as the games go up in stakes the player will be able to achieve a lesser bb/100 because of better opposition. For example, a good player could make 10PTBB/100 at .1/.25, but only be able to make 3PTBB/100 at .5/1.

The original poster wanted to get a feel for how much people who read the forum win in terms of bb/100, which is a silly question asked about ten times or more per week.

ah now ic. Thanks for the reply. But what is considered good in the different stakes? I guess most people who has played with PT alot automaticly see if a player is good or bad when he see the stake and bb/100. But where can i find information about what is considered good and bad in the different stakes? so i understand 10+ in bb/100 is considered "good player" in .50 / 1.
