FA Cup Final - Arsenal vs Man Utd

Spoiler Alert:

Arsenal win 5-4 on penalties after a 0-0 extra time draw

Amazing game by Manchester United, played so incredibly well but just failed to convert any of their chances. Never have I seen Arsenal being so CONVINCINGLY outplayed. The stats say it all:

Man Utd vs Arsenal:
Shots at goal: 23 - 5
Shots on target: 9 - 1
Corners: 11 - 1

Arsenal fans might as well enjoy this one all they can because Arsenal sure as hell didn't deserve to come anywhere CLOSE to winning.

BTW, please take that piece of [censored] that is Roy Carrol out of goal, Sir Alex.

Further proof that deciding tournament games on PK's is retarded.

I couldn't agree more. As an Arsenal fan, that was the most uncomfortable 120 minutes of football I can remember. It wasn't when Man U would score, but how. I still really can't believe it...I didn't really start to think we could win until Scholes' penalty got saved.

I do find it rather hilarious that the FA cup replays games that are drawn before finally going to a penalty shootout at the end of the 2nd game's extra time. Of course what makes it hilarious is that this doesn't apply in the most important game of all.

So what? There isn't two legs in the CL final either.

United should have taken their chances way before this got to ET.

PS. Yes I'm an Arsenal fan, yes I hate Man U, and yes, I'm very, very happy.

For one off games to a point it makes sense but it is worse after a 42 match season get to the play offs and lose promotion to the highest leagye due to pens.

They have done experiments and have still not come up with a better solution, its like NFL matches once it gets into overtime it in essence becomes a field goal lottery.

I'm so fuc king pissed. Yes I know that Rio was offsides, but man, this was a real hard pill to swallow. Ruud got real unlucky with that header that Lunberg barely cleared. Here's to hoping that the REd Scum will lose to Milan on wednesday

Liverpool will win the Champions League, and that is all that matters.

I wish I was still at school where I can watch soccer all day on fox sports net.

Show some class and at least show some respect towards other teams. Why hate another team? I don't get that. I don't have a problem admitting that Arsenal's been the better team in the last 3 years. That doesn't change the fact that United outplayed them on this day.

BTW, my point was about the FA Cup in which they DO replay all drawn games once (except the final). Not the Champions League.
