Assuming you folded on the turn, I like it.

Yeah, because there's so much to fear on a J65, 2 tone board that you should overbet the pot every time you catch a good hand.

You played it fine. A call's optional depending on fishiness of the player (the better/LAGgier he is the better the call.)

You played it fine, as others have said. To expand on Adanthar's comment about calling the turn, I used to lay down sets whenever the board showed a possible flush. Now I'll call against a reasonable % of players. I've seen two pair or a four flush (or a total bluff) shown down in these situations enough times to make it +EV. With no read, I'd probably fold though.

I wasn’t paying attention to this player..but his turn bet was ridiculously fishy...i called.

He showed Jack 7. River was Heart...so was his jack.

I hardly ever call this, but I think its good to experiment sometimes.

and yet... i almost always call this... I haven't seen many players that check call a four flush then make it and open push the turn, this line really does not look like a flush and almost always puts you ahead, nice hand, sucks about the river beat.

Oh and why on earth would you bet more on the flop??!?
