BoDog

I'm thinking about opening up an account on BoDog. I was wondering if people recommend their poker room. What are some of the pros and cons of their poker room ? Thanks.

Re: BoDog

Software - barely ok
# of Players - not a lot
Tourneys - have low $ buy in, small attended, override on guar.
Quality of players- not as fishie as it used to be (but where is?)
Customer service - excellent - very fast cash out and email is responded to quickly
Won't run into too many 2+2 players

Check the archives - a fair number of similar posts over last 6 months

good software, good customer service, bottomless bonus. the limit games are extremely lacking. usually not even one 1/2 full table going. a couple 1/2 6 max and maybe a 2/4 full. lots and lots of NL and PL action though. also, playing sit and go's to clear the bonus works quite nicely. 6 points for each $1 in tourney entry fees (that means $2 bonus released for each $1 in fees)

Re: BoDog

The bottomless bonus is attractive, but don't abuse it. People who continually buyin/cashout for bonus purposes are being threaten by Bodog to have bonus privleges removed/wage requirement increased.

I've never played at bodog BUT if this is true, it's a no brainer. Bottomless bonus and spend $1.00 to make $2.00? I'll do that all day long. Can someone please confirm that this is true?

from their website:

Tournaments:

You will accumulate Bodog Poker Points for every $1.00 in fees paid for tournaments you enter. 6 Points are awarded for every $1.00 in fees paid so you will get 30 Bodog Poker Points for entering a tournament with an entry of $50+$5 (buy in + fee).

Re: BoDog

I must be tired. I was thinking if I played in a $10 + $1 I would get credit for $11.00. Obviously it's only for $1.00. so the $10 is at risk. Obviously!!
