check-calling the river

Hand 1: Villan in this hand is xMrCOHIBAx. (100/200) He's loose, limps a lot, raises an ok amount, kind of aggressive. He limps in MP3. Sb completes, I check with j6o.

Flop is 876. Checked to him, he bets as he does 100% of the time in this situation. SB folds, I checkraise, he calls.

Turn is 6. I bet he calls.

River is 4. I check planning to call.

Hand 2: I have black AA and I raise in MP1. (30/60) MP2 coldcalls, he is maybe 30/10 and seems to play decent postflop.

Flop is QJJ, 2 diamonds. I bet he calls.

Turn is K. I bet he calls.

River is a blank that puts a backdoor flush on board. I check planning to call.

Love it? Hate it? I'll write more if anyone replies after dinner.

Re: check-calling the river

Yeah, in both hands when I checked I wasn't sure if I was going to checkraise or check call. I think the first one really should have been a checkraise, the second one is a fair amount closer. I think it goes checkraise - check call - bet - call.

In the first hand, the reason why I didn't is that I really felt he would put more bets in with a pair somewhere. With the board paired though, I don't really think I have to worry about the low straight 3betting the river.
