A look at the PP 10/20

The only 10/20 Ive ever played online was at pacific and I dont count pacific as real games even. I normally play 3/6 at party but have been itching to take a shot at a bigger game.

Ive just started datamining the 10/20full on party and decided to sit and watch a few tables for a couple of hours. What I saw really supprised me. Ive been watching 4 tables for about 2.5 hours and 2 of them are vp>35. The other 2 are at 34. PFR<5 on 2 of them and over 14 on one. The last one is at 6. These are the games that I spend time hunting for at 3/6. They are the only ones going at 10/20. Am I missing something???

Yes, can you afford to lose $4,000 if things run badly? The game is loose, but crazy. It makes $3/6 and $5/10 look like rainbows and lollipops.

Is VP the % of people that voluntarily put money in the pot (the first 2 being 35%) and the "other 2" have a preflop raise of less than 5%?

How big are the average pots in relation to the big blind? That's a big indicator for me.

You can find loose games at higher limits. Just make sure you have enough bank to play.

1/2 blind structure. The thing is they are loose, but very good postflop. Maniacs that can read hands are dangerous playters.

Visit my blog is you want an idea how volitile $10/20 (or even $5/10) 6-max can be.

After clicking on your link Im pretty sure ive checked out your blog before. Also it looks like you play 6 max. Im talking about these #s at the full tables.
On a side note I see you play at MCC. You should really think about heading over to greektown. The games there are soooooo weak.

Interesting, an all Michigan thread-including me!

I didn't expect to find that when I logged in this morning.

Oh sorry, I thought you meant 6-max. My friend plays that game full on Party, he says the best time is to play at night. Motor City has a great $10/20 game, and I play at Greektown as well sometimes on Wednesday in this good $20/40 round-by-round game. Where in Detroit do you live?

Oh yeah I wouldn't worry too much about dropping $4,000 on Party $10/20 full unless you run real bad.

Your description of shorthanded play (30-60) where you put the button raiser on T8 is a complete joke.

Can you elaborate on your read?
