any play other than folding? (balls needed?)

Villain was obviously table chip leader and was in a lot of pots but with decent hands...the minraise = ? just to shove limpers out and make people like me fold my 99? I just don't see playing this any different from 22...anybody disagree?

I either call or raise to 600. My other option would be pushing my whole stack. I am definately not folding. Yeah its harder to play this postflop, but playing 99 postflop is something you have to get used to.

but given that....if it ends up he reraises you when you reraised with 99..do you push? he could have JT 22 or AA.....just GAMBOOOOL?

Yeah, exactly what you don\'t want to see

I would lean towards folding, but since he has been wild, I may call. That is a tough decision and not the kinds of decisions you want to be faced with multiple times in a tourney.

I don't see what is wrong with flat calling here in postion. You just have to trust your post flop read of what his continuation bet means based on what you've seen so far. The tournament is early enough where this might be a good spot to take a calculated risk which PF is 15% of your chips.

I can't imagine folding this. 9-9 is far better than 2-2. This is easily worth a call; esp. since you have position on villain.

UTG min raises are red flags, but if he has been involved a lot, it's less of a concern. I agree that a re-raise is dangerous, as he could put you all in and put you in a very tough spot. (BTW I would consider pushing here with 9-9 if my opponent was very LAG. )

But I'd be happy to call the 200. Lots of good stuff can happen. A set, undercards, or even something like A-K-6 that he checks to you and you can bluff at.
