i think that would be fine, but if everybody is still annoyed by the existence of a * in the post perhaps it will have to be limited to just the complaint.

yes. people pm, people 'report to moderator' on threads too. but i definitely notice it when multiple complaints are lodged and i'm just browsing around in threads.
