I\'m good at not raising

The SB is unknown.
The button is a, well, LAG I suppose. 92/21/1.2 over 90 hands.

Party Poker 5.00/10.00 Hold'em <font color="#0000FF">(6 handed)</font> link

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button 3-bets</font>, SB calls, <font color="#666666">1 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: (13.00 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button 3-bets</font>, SB calls, Hero calls.

I guess this is a cap. Not exactly sure why I didn't. I wasn't afraid of the button, but wanted to see the turn card before deciding what to do. Problem is, lots of turn cards are pretty evil here. Hmmm...

Turn: (11.00 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>
Now what? This could've been avoided had I capped the turn. But I didn't, bad player as I am. Fold, call or raise?

i'd through a rizzle in there and get ready to fold

yeah cap the flop though

Yes, cap that flop. I'd call the turn, but fold if it comes back 2 bets to me.

River

So the SB bet, I called, and the LAG behind me called.
The river came Qh, for a board of
T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 14 BB
SB bets
Now what?

Re: River

ROFL HAND. it's at these moments i really wish i could reach through the intarweb and kill people.

seriously, find SB in his hometown and slit his throat. that is the only +EV move. slit his throat, steal all his money, shove fish and donkey in his throat, and write to the local newspaper saying that fish and donkeys will die.

Re: River

sorry dude i don't know what you're saying here. all i'm saying is that if i were "hero" in this hand i would have a deep hatred for the small blind (very deep)

Re: River

You're bizare, tens of thousands of players on party play this way, loads of 'suck outs' happen in this fashion, the SB probably isnt bluffing or really screwing us over, hes just playing loose draw poker.

milesdyson 12-16-2005 03:34 AM

Re: River

i guess i am bizare then, but sb is still retarded.

also was curious how you knew there were ~ten housand players who would play his hand (that you do not know) this way. sorry, rofl...

Re: River

SB has 10's

I still raise the turn though.

So the SB bet the river. I, being upset about not capping the flop and being a bit interested in what the SB could have given the way he played his hand, called, as did the button. The SB had 77, the button had KQo and my hand is good.

Would you please refrain from using the word 'wow'?

Re: I\'m good at not raising

Not capping the flop looks OK to me here as you could be behind a set or a straight. SB is probably more of a concern than the Button, although this aggressive button probably three bets preflop with TT and maybe 99. You might be against an SB OESD or gutshot also. Seeing what the turn brings before pumping this pot more doesn't seem like a bad idea to me.

I'm not as aggressive preflop as the button, but I 3-bet quite a bit more than 99 preflop when someone like me open-raise in the CO. Not to mention that this guy is capable of doing random aggressive moves on top of that.
