Who is Dustin Dirksen?
Full Tilt: Day 1, he plays a little with Ivey and someone else.... and ends the session about Even with a 20K stack, after Phil dumps about 20K to him. at the very end.
Full Tilt: Day 2, he has about 140K, after swatting everyone like flies. including stacking off John D'Agostino in 2 hands for about 40K. Mike the Mouth tries to sit and play, and after a few hands and back and forth Dustin sits out. Full Tilt: Day 3, he has about 105K, after some play and then he's slapping Ivey around. Cunningham tries to come in, its a no go he loses a few dollars to the Dustin. Eric Siedel sits down but doesn't play. Finally its heads up with Ivey: Dirksen 102K, Ivey 20K, Dirksen sits out. Phil Ivey types in. "I don't blame you." Game ends. Dustin leaves hasn't returned as of yet....... WHO IS THIS GUY!!!!?????? I also heard this: Dustin: I'm not afraid of you Phil. Ivey: Are you serious? Dustin: No i'm kidding, totally. Hmmm...... kid's got moxy. NOw this is what he typed in the chat box as well: Dustin: Phil Ivey just imed me.... all the observers go wild typing in "what did he say, what did he say?" Dustin: He said i'm done with Full Tilt. Dustin: He said I'm daddy now. Whew........ wow....... |

won some MTT far as I know, started hanging at 25/50 or 50/100 without any br, ran good.
Maniac's image, plays well postflop - and by playing well I mean will push a huge range of hands and put all the pressure on you. Power poker, solid reads, can be tricky. |

There is another thread in the holdem forum about him. He lost 26k to Ivey pretty quickly last night. He has easily made 200k in the last week on there. BTW, he is a 25 year old law student at the University of Iowa.

there are a ton of people who are moving up in games on full tilt who ran hot off a first deposit and play on very short bankrolls

Dustin seems to be up quite consistently in the FTP 10/20+ NL Games... but on another note, rumor seems to be spreading Dustin Dirksen is KaneKungFu123.

He is definitely not KKF.
I have spent plenty of time watching him play 50/100 on FTP since that is the other site I play at primarily. I usually play 4 5/10 6 max games and watch the "big" game while I play. For what it is worth my opinion is that Dustin is a very good player and he knows what he is doing. Previously he would hold his own against some of the top players at FTP and he was definitely a winning player. Lately he has just been dominating but this is obviosuly a result of a good run of cards. I do not see Dustin ever going broke. |

I've played against him a lot on full tilt - he's for sure a decent player and has a good TAG style. Short-handed he can get laggy though and he pushes draws a lot. He seems to be running super hot right now at the higher stakes. I don't see him going bust. He told me he's a law student in Iowa as well and will not do this for his living in the future.

He is a 2+2er. I don't know who, but when i used to play there a bit he recognized me and said something about one of my posts. I asked him what his name was on 2+2 and he never got back to me. Haven't seen too much of him (don't play there too much), but imo he is a least decent (probably better than that from his results).

I go to school with him. He is a 2+2'er, however doesnt post all that much. As a limit grinder, I can't evaluate his play at those stakes. However, from talking to him he doesnt seem like the type to piss away his entire roll and go bust. Ill let him know this thread is here tomarrow.

I've watched him play a little and he seems to be a very good player. He's good at hand reading and is fearless. But one week he will run bad and lose over 500k.
That's just the feel I get. |

Wow. I think played against him in the 100NLs on Party within the past year. He was very LAG then. Was a dangerous opponent and you could see he was going to push into higher limits as quickly as he could. I saw him later in the 1k at Party I think. Good for him.
