Check or bet, that is the question
UTG is 37/6/1.1 and 39/48 over 140h.
MP is 26/18/2.5 and 44/51 over 2900h. CO is 19/15/3.1 and 38/53 over 800h. Button is 49/23/1.3 and 48/46 over 100h. I put the CO top pair + straight draw, KJ or a flush draw. With that high AF + high WSD he's likely to have put in another raise on the flop or turn with 2 pair or better. Or? Buttons cold-call on the flop can be a lot of hands. So, what is the best course of action on the river? Re: Check or bet, that is the question
I'd bet/call one/fold for two more. CO could have a Q or busted draw and BT a Q, T, a broken fold button.

Re: Check or bet, that is the question
For UTG, what does "39/48" refer to?

For UTG, what does "39/48" refer to? [/ QUOTE ] My guess is WtSD and W$SD As for the hand, yea I think you have to value bet it, and call a raise. |

As for the hand, yea I think you have to value bet it, and call a raise. [/ QUOTE ] Does it matter which player it is that raises? If the CO raises he's very likely to have the flush since the 2 is a very innocent card apart for putting a 3-flush out there. And even though the button is loose, he's not overly aggressive, and he is up against a PFR plus someone who raised the flop. At the same time, a player with those stats can make some pretty funky things on occasions. I guess that plays a large part in us calling a raise if we bet? You're advocating bet-call. Say we bet, CO raise, button cold-calls, we call? Or we bet, CO calls, button raises, we call? |

You're advocating bet-call. Say we bet, CO raise, button cold-calls, we call? Or we bet, CO calls, button raises, we call? [/ QUOTE ] I call both of those. Obviously we hate getting raised and we're probably no good, but we'll win the ~5% of the time we need to for calling to be right. |
Re: Check or bet, that is the question
Bet/fold, only thing that hit is a flush, they've been calling so a flush draw is very possible. No-ones gonna bluff raise this river, since it's 3-way and in a big pot.

Re: Check or bet, that is the question
This is a definite value bet. Typically if CO raised and the button called it would be an easy laydown, but the button seems to be showing down with any piece of the board which strengthens our crying call.

PT query
How nice it would be to be able to set up a query using the PT DB to see how often top pair/an overpair is good in situations like this. Anyone know how to do this?
