I heard that way back when, some guys figured out the sequence of the RNG for planet poker and made a little cash. Anyone have links to anything about that? Thanks!

I got a refund of several hundred dollars from Planet Poker. The software security company (mentioned in the link to link in the other response) actually contacted me. They didn't cheat but proved that it could be done and then my understanding was that PP discovered it was being done.

Since then all sites have improved their shuffling algorithims and use multiple sources to feed the RNG, most of which are not discoverable in a practical sense (e.g., exact mouse click position for fold, bet, etc. from numerous users).

If memory serves, one of the sites has a video feed to the original story, which aired on CNN.
