Best $6-12 games in Vegas?
 

Hey all -- I'm headed to Vegas around New Years' time and was wondering where I should play $4-8 -- $6-12 (more of the latter...) thanks for any advice [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

4/8 = wynn
6/12 = mirage

For $6/12 your best options at the moment are Mirage and MGM (on weekends). Caesars Palace opens its new poker room December 21st and promises to get a regular $6/12 going also, but we won't know for sure until we see it.

No. MB also advertises 10/20 and Omaha. I called over there a couple weeks ago and they said the last time they had anything higher than 4/8 was about 2 years ago. Same thing with HIlton. They advertise all these games, but can only get 2/4 off the ground. You can only spread what people want to play, and most people want to play 2/4 and 3/6 in this town.

I'll be there this weekend looking to play mostly in this range, I will post my findings.

The Mirage game was crap when I was there in August.

On a side note, Green Valley Ranch in Henderson runs 6/12 as often as they can get it running. Usually weekends and some weeknights. I've seen multiple talbes of this. Another alternative is 5/10 (with kill sometimes) at Aladdin. You get a lot of NL players sitting in this while waiting for seats and they can't wait to get chips in the middle, so it's not as tight as everyone thinks it is.

How often does the Aladdin game go? I have really enjoyed playing there my last 2 trips.

They try to run it every day. Usually gets going with the 1pm tourney starts losing players.
